The BRCGS is a Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) recognized scheme. The Consumer Products Standard includes both the General Merchandise, and Personal Care and Household Standards.

This course will provide delegates with an in-depth understanding of both Global Standards for Consumer Products Issue 4 – Personal Care and Household and General Merchandise.

Course Aim

This training provides the knowledge and skills required to undertake audits in accordance with the BRCGS Global Standard for Consumer Products Issue 4.

How will I benefit?

The course is designed to equip delegates with the skills and knowledge to successfully audit against Issue 4 of the Standard.

What will I learn?

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

• Understand the requirements for each of the Standards – both at Foundation and Higher levels
  
• Comply with auditor requirements and how the BRCGS audit process should be carried out and reported
  
• Understand the role of the BRCGS compliance program
  
• Have gained the skills required to conduct a BRCGS audit to either Standard, and write a correct and full audit report

Who should attend?

New BRCGS auditors who already hold a Lead Assessor qualification; consultants; and technical and quality managers from sites who wish to gain a deeper understanding of the BRCGS audit process.

Your learning shall be supported and accelerated by one of BSI’s competent and experienced trainers.

What will I gain?

On a successful pass of the BRCGS Auditor Training examination following the course (50 questions, pass mark 75%) you will be awarded with a BRCGS Global Standard for Consumer Products Auditor certificate.

Prerequisites

Delegates should download and read BOTH copies of the Global Standard for Consumer Products Issue 4 (General Merchandise, and Personal Care and Household Standards) before attending this course. The Standard is available from www.brcgsbookshop.com

Soft Copy: You will receive an email prior to the course with instructions on how to access the online Student Handbook, which can be viewed, downloaded or printed.

NOTE: Copies of the standards are not included in the class fee.

BSI will make reasonable efforts to have loaner copies available for use during the class, but students are encouraged to have their own copy. Soft copies of the digital loaner standard cannot be printed or downloaded.

• Students need to connect to the class from any internet accessible location.
• Webcam and Microphone are REQUIRED.
• ALL course times shown are US EASTERN TIME.

If your class is In-person :

• You are encouraged to bring a laptop with you to class.
• Please bring a picture ID such as a driver's license, passport, or work badge to class for verification purposes.
