The SQF code is the management system standard for food safety (FSMS) that is aligned to internationally recognized best practice and is benchmarked against the GFSI guidance document. The SQF code helps organizations to provide safe food by proactively improving their FSMS performance.
The first step in achieving SQF certification is to clearly understand the SQF Food Safety Code. The Implementing SQF Systems training course helps sites and individuals understand the Food Safety Code so an effective SQF System can be implemented.
Course Aim
The Implementing SQF Systems Course Ed.9 course provides a typical framework for implementing a management system based on the SQF code Edition 9 food safety management system.

- Become familiar with a typical framework for implementing a food safety management system (FSMS). This should form a sound basis for your implementation efforts and benefit your organization
- Recognize where adjustments might need to be made to this framework, to accommodate your unique situation and progress made to date

Prerequisites
You should already have knowledge of implementing a HACCP (Food Safety) Plan. If not, we recommend you attend our HACCP or FSPCA PCQI course first. The detailed requirements of HACCP (Food Safety) Plan and PCQIs are not covered on this course.

Soft Copy: You will receive an email prior to the course with instructions on how to access the online Student Handbook, which can be viewed, downloaded or printed.
NOTE: Copies of the standards are not included in the class fee.
BSI will make reasonable efforts to have loaner copies available for use during the class, but students are encouraged to have their own copy. Soft copies of the digital loaner standard cannot be printed or downloaded.
