In today’s fast-paced environment, artificial intelligence is playing a greater role in both our personal and professional lives. AI can help position your place in the market, but there is a need to ensure this is done responsibly. ISO/IEC 42001:2023 is an internationally recognized artificial intelligence management system that allows you to enhance organizational performance and gain a competitive edge when using AI. ISO/IEC 22989:2023 is a normative reference in ISO/IEC 42001:2023. Understanding the concepts that underpin this standard is vital in its effective deployment into an organization. This course will provide you with an understanding of the main concepts of AI and AI systems to complement your knowledge of management system standards.
Course Aim
To obtain an understanding of the key terms, definitions, and concepts of AI and AI systems, based upon ISO/IEC 22989:2023, to help with the management of an ISO/IEC 42001:2023 AI Management System (AIMS).

Prerequisites
There are no formal prerequisites, however it will be useful for delegates to read the standard before attending the course.

Soft Copy: You will receive an email prior to the course with instructions on how to access the online Student Handbook, which can be viewed, downloaded or printed.
NOTE: Copies of the standards are not included in the class fee.
BSI will make reasonable efforts to have loaner copies available for use during the class, but students are encouraged to have their own copy. Soft copies of the digital loaner standard cannot be printed or downloaded.
