Course Details
Over 300,000 global suppliers will soon be subject to certification of their cybersecurity program in order to be awarded a contract with the Department of Defense (DoD). The purpose of the course it to help prepare suppliers by providing an overview of the new Cybersecurity Maturity Model (CMMC) program.
The course will help attendees gain a basic understanding of the CMMC requirements, who participates in the ecosystem, the assessment process, timelines and more. This is an introduction to the DoD’s program to ensure adequate cybersecurity controls are in place to protect Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
This course will help you:
- Understand why Procurement agencies need resilient supply chains, what they are mandating prior to contract award and the implementation timeline;
- Develop a strategic approach to moving forward – to take advantage of opportunities and avoid downside risk;
You will learn about:
- The DoD Cyber program – timelines
- “Around the World” – update on the cyber resilience programs of other US Civilian agencies, Canada, and other US Allies
- As a member of the Defense Industrial Base - what can and should you be doing to prepare to be successful in this environment
- There will be a Q&A Session – every question will be answered – even if its in a follow-up response post training to all attendees
