Course aim

The aim of this course is to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of AS9145 and its application in developing and managing APQP within the aerospace industry. This course will enable you to interpret the requirements of AS9145 and apply the APQP and PPAP methodologies effectively.

Course description

This course provides an introduction to AS9145, that standardizes the requirements for Product Development Processes (PDP), by implementing Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) methodologies within the aerospace industry. You will explore the framework of the 5 phases that constitute APQP, and how to apply this structured approach throughout the product lifecycle.

• Appreciate the necessity of applying a comprehensive project management approach to ensure multi-functional collaboration
• Consider the role of risk management for implementing a robust PDP that meets customer requirements
• Demonstrate an awareness of the relationship between AS9145 and other key aerospace standards

Prerequisites

You will need your own copy of AS9145.
