Get Ready for AS9100 Series 2016 Changes
The Aerospace Quality Management (AQMS) Standards (AS 9100, AS 9110, AS 9120), 2016
versions are scheduled to be published in April of this year. The AQMS Standards are
based on ISO9001:2015, with additional Aviation, Space and Defence (ASD) Scheme
requirements. The AQMS Standards for 2016 will have a significant impact on ASD
companies and require new approaches to the Supply Chain and Leadership. For example,
the concept of Preventive Action is now part of Risk Identification and Mitigation
strategies. Required documentation is changing, as is the emphasis on change management.
Join Ed Gagnon, Aviation, Space and Defense Technical Manager, as he reports on the
progress of the AQMS Standards toward publication and the impacts and timelines.
