Cargo Theft Threats and Trends in the United Kingdom
BSI and the National Vehicle Crime Intelligence Service (NaVCIS) have come together to develop a robust report to provide increased visibility into cargo theft threats across the United Kingdom. BSI recorded a total of 512 cargo theft incidents in the United Kingdom during the first quarter of 2017 with nearly 76% of them involving the slash-and-grab tactic. Northamptonshire, Leicestershire, and Essex saw the highest rates of
cargo theft incidents during this period, followed by Nottinghamshire and Cambridgeshire.
