Combating Risk in the Aviation, Space and Defense Sector

In the AS & D sector, risk is ever present and can spell opportunity or disaster. You need to know which to avoid, how to mitigate it, or when to accept risk in your organization.

The quality of your product is dependent on your workers and their work environment. The IAQG recognizes these pose significant risk and are called out in the most recent version of AS9100-series as Human and Physical Factors. They can impact your QMS and are the most often cited NCRs in the audit process.

Information security is another area where risk, if not properly recognized and mitigated, can seriously damage not only your product, but your reputation and your organization as a whole. For the AS&D sector, cyberattacks pose a national security risk; intellection property can be exposed, and lives can be endangered.

Join BSI’s Scott Neas, Service Delivery Director, Miranda Whitcher, Vice President for Global Accounts and John DiMaria, Information Security and Business Continuity Champion as they review internal risks as well as external threats to the sector, along with mitigation strategies.

Beginning at 8:30 am on November 29, 2018 in Lynnwood, Washington at the Lynnwood Convention Center, this workshop will provide hands-on, practical exercises and discussions around the threats, challenges and opportunities.

The cost of the workshop is $50. If you register and attend, you will receive a coupon for $100 off your next training or a gap analysis.

The objective of this workshop is to share insight from industry leaders, auditors and subject matter experts on the future challenges in the AS&D sector, associated risks and share mitigation best practices.
