Course Details
Many organizations have a need to control information and information systems. ISO/IEC 27001:2022 provides requirements that can be used to manage their information security risks. The standard was revised and there are changes to the requirements that need to be applied to existing information security management systems. This course provides a review of the updated standard from ISO/IEC 27001:2013, what the key differences are, and how an organization may implement and audit these changes.
Course Aim
This course will provide you with the knowledge required to update and manage your Information Security Management System (ISMS) when certifying to ISO/IEC 27001:2022.

Who should attend?
ISO/IEC 27001 qualified auditors or those with equivalent knowledge and experience. Suggested job roles include:
- Those responsible for implementing and managing an information security management system
- Those with responsibilities for auditing their information security management system

Prerequisites
There are no formal prerequisites for this course.
Course MaterialsSoft Copy: You will receive an email prior to the course with instructions on how to access the online Student Handbook, which can be viewed, downloaded or printed.
NOTE: Copies of the standards are not included in the class fee.
BSI will make reasonable efforts to have loaner copies available for use during the class, but students are encouraged to have their own copy. Soft copies of the digital loaner standard cannot be printed or downloaded.
Course Logistics
If your class is Live Online:
- Students need to connect to the class from any internet accessible location.
- Webcam and Microphone are REQUIRED.
- ALL course times shown are US EASTERN TIME.
If your class is In-person :
- You are encouraged to bring a laptop with you to class.
- Please bring a picture ID such as a driver's license, passport, or work badge to class for verification purposes.
*Session lengths could vary depending on amount of class discussion.
Full Day Classes - (Live Online and In-person) There are two 7.5 hour sessions.
Half Day Classes - (Live Online) There are four 3.5 hour sessions.
