Benefits of a Transition Gap Assessment
All organizations currently certified to ISO 9001:2008 or ISO 14001:2004 will need to transition to the new standards by September 2018.
These revisions provide a great opportunity for organizations to review their management system ensuring it is properly integrated into the strategic priorities of the organization and adding real value to the business.
While optional, it is advisable to perform a gap assessment (aka – Pre-Assessment, Pre-Audit). Choosing a gap assessment, prior to your formal transition assessment, can provide valuable insight into your progress in meeting the new requirements, help you clarify the scope of work that needs to be done prior to the actual audit and can help identify if your system is already compliant, providing a savings to your organization by data-driven decisions and project planning.
In this webinar, we will review many of the changes required in each standard and how a transition gap assessment can save an organization time and resources. We will discuss:
- The gap assessment process
- Where a gap assessment can add greatest value
- Review the information reported
- When to schedule your gap assessment
