Course Details
Companies often implement ergonomic improvements aiming to address their biggest injury and productivity risks, only to find those solutions aren’t used by the workforce, or don’t function as planned. This results in frustration, as well as wasted time and money, and means going back to square one to find the right solution. This course explores how taking a participatory approach to ergonomics- involving managers and employees- helps find the right solution to ergonomic problems the first time, in a sustainable way.
This course will provide information on the following topics:
- Fundamentals of participatory ergonomics
- Designing & implementation of a participatory ergonomics program
- Learning about common implementation problems of programs and how to develop strategies to overcome them
- Examples of solutions developed through participatory ergonomic programs and their implementation
